Hey Tennis Fans. American, Amanda Anisimova (Aged 17) beats Simona Halep to reach the semifinals in the French Open in Paris. Amanda, originally born in Freehold, New Jersey, and now living in Aventura, Florida near Miami is poised to win the French Open Tennis Championships.
She hit consistent varied placement. She has steady pace. Good and strong pace. I saw one shot near the end of the match where she hit down the line and Simona was not even in the neighborhood. She had some nerves at the close of the match but steadied them and came through. At 4-all of the final set she hit a strong serve even though she could have blown the match. She played her game and her game seems to be winning. I surely hope she can stay steady and poised as she has in this match.
Ms. Anisimova is the last American left in the French. At 5' 11", She surely has a good chance at a win if she can stay focused and relaxed. As a coach I know that meditation can help. Some players cannot meditate. Anyway, Hope the best for the last standing American......
