CoCo "Cori" Gauf 15 year old teen winning at Wimbledon 2019 from South Florida

Good evening all!

Coco is winning at Wimbledon. 15 Year old Cori "Coco" Gauf currently from Delray Beach, Florida  has won against Polona Hercog of Slovenia. Interesting, Coco steeled her composure in this third round of Wimbledon and Polona nerves got the best of her. Coco errors went down and Hercogs went up. Final score is  3-6, 7-6, and 7-5. Coco had her first tiebreaker in the second set and won it 7-5. She is the youngest player to qualify for Wimbledon in the professional era. Jennifer Capriati in 1991 got to the semi finals when she was 15. Coco cannot even drive yet. Yet with this win she would take home $220,000 dollars. Nice payday  so far. Go Coco. She is not done yet....

Coco is the second teen player from South Florida USA  to do well in a major this year. Last tournament was Anisomova from Aventura Fl. in Dade County who got to semi final round of the French Open just a few weeks ago on the red clay and now Coco on grass who is from Palm Beach County Florida. Specifically Delray Beach, Florida. Really amazing....

Coco won against Venus Williams in the previous round fairly easily 6-4, 6-4. She said, Venus was her inspiration. She also won against Magdalena Rybarikova in straight sets.   Ms. Gauf is playing solid tennis. Not just solid but surprising tennis. In this round she came to net and was very confident. Her overhead volleys looked very skilled. Her volleys were very well placed. At times in the first couple of sets Ms. Gauf had some trouble reading Ms. Hercogs groundies.  Hercog had Coco in the second set and Ms. Gauf saved those points. Palona could have easily put Coco to bed. Coco fought back and dominated her at the end of the second set and the third. Taking the ball early and hitting deep to the corners. Do not think Palona had a chance to get back into the race again after Coco comeback and win in the second set. Coco's serve was deep, solid, and angled. Coco handled Palona's serve that was fast and high bouncing. Coco had some trouble with some varied shots, especially the sitters. But she is fast maturing on the courts of Wimbledon.....

Originally from Atlanta, Ga. Coco started tennis when she was 7 years old. When she started this tournament she was ranked 313 in the world. Gauff’s father was a basketball player at Georgia State and her mother ran track at Florida State. She is from a family of athletes. Really cool her parents were there to see her win today. Folks have noticed this legend in the making as she has gotten sponsorship. New Balance has signed a contract as has The Barilla Group an Italian Food Corporation who also sponsors Roger Federer.

These young woman Coco Gauf 5' 9" now ranked 113 after this match and Amanda Anisomova 5' 11" are on their way to the top. Go USA. Go Florida. Anisimova who has won over $1 million in prize money so far in her career and she is only 17. Amanda lost in the second round to Linette from  Poland.  Too many errors for Amanda. Coco looks pretty solid so far at Wimbledon. Ms. Gauf's next match is with a very seasoned Simona Halep (6 in the world) on Monday at Wimbledon. Remember she is only 15 years old. Whoa.... Go Coco!
