Wimbledon Quarters: Rafa Out, Maria Out, Fed to Play Wawrinka

Hello Folks. Another Great Wimbledon July 2014! Take a look at this nineteen year old named  Nick Kyrgios (Australian) hitting this amazing shot and then went on to win against Rafael Nadal to make the quarterfinals.

Roger Federer will play Stan Wawrinka  in the  Quarterfinals. Stan will need all he has as Roger is playing amazingly well. It is great to see the level being played by all the players!

Roger beat Tommy Robredo in straight sets: 6-1, 6-4, 6-4. Fed ought to be fresh for Wawrinka. It should be a great Match.

Maria Sharapova

On the Womans' side, Maria Yuryevna Sharapova was beat by Angelique Kerber in 3 sets 7-6 (4), 4-6, 6-4. It was a great match and Sharapova proved she is a fighter. Although she was a bit streaky. Previous matches she looked more composed. As we have seen throughout the years at these majors the pressure gets more intense as they climb the ladder to the finals. Kerber, German,  has played Eugenie Bouchard, a rising Canadian.

Eugenie Bouchard

Eugenie Bouchard has won 6-3 6-4  and will face Simona Halep in the Semi Finals.

Simona Halep

My prediction is Eugenie will win in the semis as she has been a force to be reckoned with. As we have seen the tournament has been filled with upsets and surprises.

In Doubles, The Bryan Brothers are en route to their 16th Grand Slam when they win at Wimbledon. They are playing right now in England against Julian Knowle (AUT) [9] Marcelo Melo (BRA) [9]. They ought to win easily given their momentum to reach the semis. Good luck guys!

On the womens side it has been the Williams sisters who have been a force to deal with but Looks like this year they will not be. We will see who will reign in doubles this year. Andrea Petkovic (GER) / Magdalena Rybarikova (SVK) defeats Julia Goerges (GER) [10] / Anna-Lena Groenefeld (GER) [10]
Andrea and Magdalena of Germany and Slovakia won 6-1 7-6(6) to get to the semis.

Thanks for reading and watching, Great tennis! Coach Anderson
