Most here in Palm Beach County have our power back from Hurricane Irma that occurred just as the US Open 2017 was ending. Most of Florida has had trouble with their electricity. The Island of Palm Beach was closed with check points until two days ago to only residents with their address on the island. The storm covered the whole state. Of course it could of been much worse than it was. Most of us struggled with the power outage and no AC. Anyway, Lets Recap the Open 2017. A lot of neat and new faces came on the scene. There was rain at the Open and the Stadium was covered. Celebrating 20 years of Coverage. Rafael Nadal and Sloane Stephens won the 2017 US Open Tennis.

Kevin Anderson from South Africa was runner up to Rafael Nadal from Spain. Rafa took him in 3 sets and that is not to say Mr. Anderson was playing poorly. Rafa's game is at the top. Rafael 6-3, 6-3, 6-4 margin at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing, New York.
On the Women's side ---Sloane Stephens won the first major title of her career after defeating Madison Keys 6-3, 6-0 in the final of the 2017 U.S. Open on Saturday September 9th, 2017. Ms. Stephens is from Plantation Florida. She was ranked 83rd in the world. She is dating Jozy Altidore Soccer Player. Prize money for Sloane was $3.7 Million dollars. As did Mr. Nadal.
